About Mueller Water Products Mueller Water Products is a leading North American manufacturer and marketer of infrastructure and flow control products for use in water distribution networks and treatment facilities. We are a “new” old company, with each of our three businesses, Mueller Co., U.S. Pipe and Anvil, manufacturing quality products for more than 100 years.
In 2006, Mueller Water Products was spun off from Walter Industries, combining the strong heritage, expertise, talents and brand recognition of these businesses into one company for a stronger future. The initial public offering and NYSE listing of approximately 25 percent of our common stock was completed in May 2006. The remaining shares were distributed on December 14, 2006. These actions successfully set the stage for Mueller Water Products to be the largest, publicly traded, pure play water infrastructure company.
Our products can be found at every point in the distribution of water – from its initial source to treatment facilities and, ultimately, to your home or business. Our broad product portfolio includes engineered valves, hydrants, pipe fittings and ductile iron pipe, which are used by municipalities, as well as the commercial and residential construction, oil and gas, HVAC and fire protection industries. We have the largest installed base of iron gate valves, ductile iron pipe and fire hydrants in the United States. The Company’s products are approved by and used in the top 50 metropolitan areas in the United States. This leading position is critical to our future growth.
